Job title: Communications Officer 

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Communications Officer to help us build a movement to deliver clean air for all. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation working to tackle global air pollution and help shape our approach to communications. From leading our social media activities to coordinating events, you’ll help grow our audiences by delivering compelling content and fostering engagement.   

As a Communications Officer, you will: 

  • Lead on managing and developing social media channels to engage and grow our online audience.
  • Create a range of compelling content for digital channels, including website, social media and e-communications.
  • Plan, manage and deliver events from end-to-end to deepen engagement with our audiences, including identifying opportunities and managing attendees.
  • Support with PR and media relations tasks, including monitoring coverage and drafting statements.
  • Help coordinate campaign plans, communications schedules, reporting and production processes.

To be successful in this role you will have … 

  • Proven experience in a communications role, ideally in the non-profit sector
  • Experience running events and managing projects
  • Experience managing and developing social media channels
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including sound editorial and creative judgement
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interest in news and external affairs, environmental and/or social change

  • Salary range - £20,600 - £41,200 (DOE) + bonus
  • Type of employment - Permanent, Full time.
  • London based, working from home can be facilitated for up to 50% of working hours.
  • Due to our size, we will not be able to support visa applications.
