Senior Fundraising Specialist  

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Senior Fundraising Specialist to join their team in Strategic Partnerships & Communications. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   

As a Senior Fundraising Specialist with Clean Air Fund you would work with CAF’s senior leadership and existing Fundraising Manager to support and undertake fundraising in two major workstreams:

  • Contributing to fundraising efforts that secure further funding for CAF’s pooled fund and priority project offerings.
  • Working collaboratively to secure further funding for a new flagship programme, Breathe Global (further info below).

Our strategy is to identify new donors who can help us scale our existing programmes or extend our work to new geographies, while engaging with existing donors to secure their further support. Clean Air Fund, in partnership with C40 Cities, is launching a flagship multi-city programme, Breathe Global. 

To be successful in this role you will have 

  • Demonstrable track record in securing high-value grants from global foundations and trusts or philanthropic individuals in a target-driven environment
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, confident in making approaches to and communicating with senior staff and philanthropists
  • Good knowledge of fundraising regulations and best practice
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to quickly assimilate complex information and package programme work into engaging and compelling pitches and proposals
  • Adept at meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities
  • Ability to represent Clean Air Fund credibly with range of audiences, including senior donors and grantee partners

  • Salary & Benefits – Depending on location:
    • In UK £40,000 - £47,499 gross per annum
    • In Ghana GHS 235,301.07 - GHS 300,210.29 gross per annum
    • In Delhi INR 2,760,528.41 - INR 3,522,052.49 gross per annum CTC
  • Type of employment - Permanent, Full time
  • Post holders must have the right to work in location they have applied for.
  • Hybrid role, there is an expectation of attending the office for at least 50% of the working time.
