Policy Manager - Super Pollutants

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Policy Manager - Super Pollutants to join the team . This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   

As a Policy Manager - Super Pollutants with Clean Air Fund you would help to manage multi-lateral partnerships and coalitions, oversee a portfolio of grants and projects spanning campaigns and policy, and drive funders, governments and non-profits to work effectively towards reducing black carbon emissions. 

To be successful in this role you will have

  • Previous policy and partnerships experience at an international level, designing and delivering strategies that led to demonstrable policy change. 
  • Developing and implementing policy and partnerships strategies on air pollution, climate, climate finance, or other related fields, preferably with an international perspective. 
  • Managing relationships and building coalitions with external stakeholders, including policy makers. 
  • Experience and contacts within relevant global institutions, such as UN agencies, international financial institutions, development agencies, etc. 
  • Proven ability to develop policy recommendations, identify opportunities, and generate support for adoption. 
  • Demonstrable ability to facilitate groups and partners to agree common policy goals and campaign tactics. 
  • Experience of working in a range of cultural and socio-economic contexts, adapting style and approach appropriately. 
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically and to be outcome-focused, with experience working in teams that design and execute strategies on complex issues. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to efficiently explain and discuss complex topics in layman’s terms. 
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office programmes, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Line management experience.

  • Salary & Benefits - Depending on location: 
    • In UK £51,838 - £66,583 gross per annum
    • In Ghana GHS 412,536.11 - 526,337.76 gross per annum
    • In India INR 3,807,625 - 4,858,003 gross per annum
    • In South Africa ZAR 1,250,000-1,300,000 gross per annum
  • 1st Interview dates - 24/01/2-24 and 25/01/2024 
  • 2nd Interview dates - 06/02/2024 and 07/02/2024
  • Type of employment - Full Time, Fixed term until end of December 2026
